AAMC Postponed due to Hazardous Air Quality

Dear 2018 AAMC Participants,

We have just received notice from the University of San Francisco (USF), that all events and events management services have been cancelled for tomorrow. We have also been closely watching the AQI levels all throughout the morning and it has been increasing every hour in San Francisco which is now at 239 (201-300 range marked as Very Unhealthy). Several colleges have also announced closures for tomorrow.

Unfortunately these circumstances are not under our control, but for the safety of our staff, speakers and participants – we have decided to postpone the Asian American Music Conference (AAMC) to a later date in the first quarter of 2019, after the upcoming holiday season.

We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused especially for those of you traveling from out of the area. We are happy to offer you a full refund for your registration or a credit for the future conference. Please confirm at: info@aamusicconference.com and allow us 24-48 hours to process any refunds.

For those of you joining our AAMC x Today at Apple Event at the Apple Union Square store – Apple has confirmed that they remain open and ready to host our event. We’ll be screening Ruby Ibarra and Evelyn Obamos’ “Nothing on Us: Pinays Rising Documentary”, along with a Q&A with Kerry Fiero from the Girl Power Music Conference, premiering the new Ruby Ibarra “Taking Names” music video and her live band performance. We encourage you to wear an N95 mask when traveling outside.

Thank you so much for understanding and committing your time to this event.

Thank you to USF for keeping our community safe and aware of this hazardous situation happening all throughout California.
